Pokemon Emerald Rogue V2.0.1
This is my review of the musical Ảo Quan, directed by Chinh Ba, perfomed at 5B Theater.
In this article I will also touch upon the context of which this play was performed, the theater scene in Hồ Chí Minh City and my personal experiences practicing, as I feel it is critical to explaining my feelings towards the production.
Ảo Quan is a modern musical, told mostly through song, with very limited spoken dialogue. The story focuses on the grief and guilt of family members, primarily the 2 mothers, when dealing with the death of their queer sons, who commited scuicide.
My biggest appreciation towards this production is that it never pulled its punches, never chose the easy way out, and that it respects its audience.
Now this is where context is needed!
My experience/position in the thaeter community in Hồ Chí Minh City is somewhere in the middle of being an insider/outsider (or it might just be the impostor syndrome talking). Although I've been in the production/organization and acted in multiple plays, even writing and directing a full length play which was performed on a big stage in front of 400 people, my experience is only limited around my university's theater club, which didn't necessarily have the ambition to expand further. So eventhough I've put a lot of effort into the art, I still feel seperated from those who are more 'real'.

Monster Hunter 4U & Monster Hunter XX
I hate Capcom for how they made Wilds but god damn it 4 Ultimate is so good. The ongoing joke is that the 1st game you play in the series will be your personal favorite, and to that I say its true. I don't know why I downloaded 4U to my hacked New 3DS, but I'm so glad that I did. I do remember my mind being blown away at how well the game played/controlled/looked on the tiny handheld. Somehow, playing the game trully makes you feel like the hunter in the amazing game intro and it's trailers. The mere absurdity of the monsters, the weapons, the characters in this game series make me feel like a kid playing games again. I think this video by Flyann2 highlights this the best, trully one of my favorite videos on the whole intenet. Actually I think its this guy that made me a MH fan.
